About Tin Man Lures

Tin Man Lures highly reflective plated finishes combined with the slower, natural presentation can result in more fish strikes. More fish strikes will help you catch more of your favorite walleyes, bass, northerns, crappies and pan fish.

WHY TIN MAN LURES?

  • Environmentally better alternative to lead lures.
  • Unique precious and semi-precious metal finishes....
Gold - Silver - Copper - Black Pearl.
  • More reflectivity in the water than any artificial color substitute.
  • 40% lighter than lead, our jigs drop slower, providing a more natural presentation to the fish.
  • Can be used with minnows, worms, leeches and plastics, and still have more buoyancy than lead jigs.
  • Wide variety of sizes and styles.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT TIN MAN LURES?

Numerous obstacles challenge today's fisherman. Much heavier fishing pressure has resulted in a very wary fish population. On most of the lakes we fish today the larger trophy fish have grown up seeing all sorts of lures presented to them. In most instances it takes something new and natural to catch these lunkers.
Tin Man Lures has developed and extensively tested the right combination of reflectivity and movement to catch those previously uncatchable fish. The basic jig design still catches more fish per hours fished than any other lure. Tin Man Lures has used this basic jig design and added two very important innovations. The first is an environmentally friendly tin jig that also offers a more natural presentation duplicating the action of a baitfish. The second innovation is the unmatched reflectivity of genuine 24K gold, silver, copper and black pearl finishes which makes the bait more visible from a greater distance.

WHY USE TIN LURES INSTEAD OF LEAD?

Tin is replacing lead for fishing lures because of the toxic effects lead has on our lakes, rivers, and streams.
Our ancestors made lures with tin. Tin is easily worked into different shapes and sizes. When tin became scarce during World War II, manufacturers changed to lead. Now lead is less desirable because of its negative effects on the environment.
Most states have already banned lead shot for duck and goose hunting. Lead lures are destined to be the next target. We are pleased to offer you the better alternative.

WHY IS NATURAL REFLECTIVITY IMPORTANT?

Reflectivity is what sets Tin Man Lures apart from other electro-plated or painted lures. Our lures offer the highest standards for reflectivity, and everyone who fishes knows that reflectivity combined with motion is what causes the instinctive biting action of fish.
Tin Man Lures are metal electro-plated using genuine precious and semi-precious finishes. Gold and silver are two of Mother Nature's most reflective natural occurring substances. You will find success with our gold and silver lures in a wide variety of situations. In addition, the copper and black pearl finishes are very unique and offer exceptional alternatives on those days when fish are being especially finicky.
Even in stained waters, Tin Man Lures can be seen from a much farther distance than painted or nickel plated jigs. This means Tin Man Lures will help you cover a potential fish-holding area much quicker and with fewer casts. Increased reflectivity also means the lures will be more visible in deeper waters to attract those bottom hugging fish.

WHAT ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE IN WEIGHT?

Tin Man Lures are 40% lighter than lead lures. Therefore they will drop more gradually in the water. Along with the more natural presentation, this slower falling movement means the lure will do a better job of duplicating the action of baitfish.

Superior visibility in all types of water + a much more natural drop + environmentally friendly
= REVOLUTIONARY !
